Meetings

All participants in the meetings and competitions will be able to take part in the activities offered as part of the International Ventoux Flute Festival.

  1. Masterclasses: Masterclasses will focus primarily on ensemble flute playing. They will be aimed primarily at existing ensembles ready to perform a repertoire. A few individual masterclasses will be offered to explore lesser-known repertoire, orchestral passages, or instruments such as the piccolo, G flute, or bass flute.
  2. Music workshops: Ensemble workshops are open to all participants who wish to practice music in small ensembles. Ensembles will be formed at the beginning of the festival and will work independently under the supervision of a facilitator. They will be able to present the works they have worked on during open stages during the festival.
  3. The Festival Flute Orchestra: All participants will be able to join the festival flute orchestra, which will give one or two concerts during the festival.
  4. Conferences and round tables: Conferences will be given by speakers who will share their expertise on topics related to ensemble or chamber music for flute and its repertoire. Round tables may be organized by interested participants, addressing various topics related to collective practices. The organizers will select the proposals, which must be submitted before the meetings.
  5. Concerts and open stages: Festival concerts and competition auditions will be open to all participants. Open stages will be available to ensembles from the workshops and other participants who wish to perform on stage (duos and larger groups). Programs will be established by the Festival organizers, subject to availability.
  6. Workshop for minors: In parallel with the Meetings, supervision with accommodation is provided for minors aged 14 and older. Qualified instructors will supervise this group and accompany them throughout the events of the meetings and the competition. During the week, they will receive approximately 4 individual lessons in addition to participating in the activities of the meetings (workshops, orchestra, etc.). The registration deadline is May 15, 2026. See the link for registration.
